First Innings – Delhi Batting

Delhi lost an early wicket when Priyansh Arya was dismissed for 1 run, followed by Arpit Rana who scored 10 runs. Virat Kohli then steadied the innings with a composed 77 runs, controlling the pace and building partnerships. Nitish Rana contributed 12 runs before getting out.

Delhi captain Rishabh Pant played a crucial knock of 70 runs, anchoring the middle order and guiding the innings after early setbacks. Ayush Badoni added 12 runs, while Harsh Tyagi played an important lower-order innings of 40 runs. Navdeep Saini scored 6 runs, Prince Yadav made 2 runs, and Simarjeet Singh remained not out on 15 runs, with Ishant Sharma not out on 5 runs at the end.


Gujarat Bowling – First Innings

Gujarat bowlers kept regular pressure and shared wickets throughout the innings.

Vishal Jayswal was the most successful bowler with 4 wickets, while Ravi Bishnoi took 2 wickets. Chintan Gaja and Arzan Nagwaswalla claimed one wicket each, preventing Delhi from accelerating freely in the final overs.


Second Innings – Gujarat Batting

Gujarat chased a target of 255 runs.Aarya Desai played a strong innings of 57 runs, giving Gujarat a steady start. Urvil Patel scored 31 runs, while Abhishek Desai added 26 runs. Jaymeet Patel was dismissed for 2 runs, and Saurav Chauhan top-scored for Gujarat with 49 runs, keeping the chase alive.

Hemang Patel scored 10 runs, Vishal Jayswal contributed 26 runs, Chintan Gaja made 12 runs, Amit Desai added 12 runs, and Ravi Bishnoi scored 7 runs, while Arzan Nagwaswalla remained not out without scoring.Gujarat were bowled out for 247 runs in 47.4 overs.


Delhi Bowling – Second Innings

Delhi’s bowlers delivered a disciplined and controlled performance.Prince Yadav was the standout with 3 wickets, while Arpit Rana took 2 wickets. Ishant Sharma claimed 2 wickets, and Navdeep Saini and Simarjeet Singh picked up one wicket each. Tight bowling in the death overs ensured Gujarat fell short of the target.

Match Result

Delhi won the match by 7 runs.

My Opinion

This match clearly showed Delhi’s ability to handle pressure situations. The batting performances of Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant laid a strong foundation, while Prince Yadav and Ishant Sharma’s timely wickets sealed the victory. Gujarat fought hard and came close, but Delhi’s disciplined bowling and experience proved decisive.
