Ahmedabad: Opener Michel marsh(117; 642, 4x10, 6x8)'s impressive century helped Lucknow Supergiants to a comfortable 33-run win over Gujarat Titans in an IPL match on Thursday, aided by the effective bowling of New Zealand pacer Will O'Rourke (3 for 27).
Despite this defeat, the Gujarat team remained at the top of the points table. Lucknow, who have already been out of the play-off race, returned to winning ways after four consecutive defeats. Both the teams have one match each in the league.
Lucknow scored 235 for 2 in 20 overs with the help of Marsh and Nicholas Thaw (56; 272, 4x4, 6X5) in the match at the Narendra Modi Stadium.Chasing the target, Gujarat ended the struggle by scoring 202 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Barring Shah Rukh Khan (57; 29A, 4x5, 6x3) in the middle order, the rest of the batsmen stayed at the crease for longer.
