New Delhi: on May 20, the Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to field first against the Chennai Super Kings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi  .


The decision proved effective, as RR successfully chased down CSK's total of 187/8, reaching 188/4 in just 17.1 overs to secure a six-wicket victory.  Vaibhav Suryavanshi's half-century and Akash Madhwal's three-wicket haul were instrumental in the win  .

Akash Madwal (29 for 3 )  After his effective bowling, the left-arm batsman,  Vaibhav suryavanshi (57; 33, 4x4, 6x4) for 14, helped Rajasthan Royals beat Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets in the IPL match on Tuesday.


This match was not important from play off point of view. However, Rajasthan prevailed in the battle to avoid the bottom of the table. The Rajasthan team, who had suffered a hat-trick of defeats, ended the campaign of the current edition of the IPL with this win.





Sanju Satson's side have won four out of 14 matches and remain ninth in the table with eight points. Chennai remained at the bottom with six points with one more game to play.Royals won the toss and elected to field in the match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Chennai scored 187 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing this target, the Rajasthan team scored 188 runs for 4 wickets with 17 balls to spare.





Openers Yashaswi Jaiswal (36; 19Ball ) and Suryavanshi added 37 (22ball) runs for the first wicket. Sanju (41;31A, 4x3, 6x2) who joined Suryavanshi after Jaiswal's departure, played cautiously. The duo put on 98 (59A) for the second wicket to take the team to victory. Later, Ryan Parag (3) disappointed, but Dhruv Jurail (31 not out; 12A, 4x2, 6x3) and Shimran Padiyar (12 not out) made a splash in the end and brought the team to the victory.




Ayush, Brevi's support: Earlier, opening batsman Ayush 3 (43;202, 4x8, 6x1) 6 (42;256, 4x3, 6x3) helped Chennai team to a fighting total.Devon Conway and Urvil Patel were dismissed in the second over bowled by Royals' Yudhvir Singh. Then the total of the team was 12 runs. At this point, Ayush got flustered. Because of that, the team was able to score 68 runs in the powerplay phase. In the sixth over, Tusshar Deshpande took the wicket of Ayush and broke the partnership.




At one stage they were in danger of falling short after losing 5 wickets for 78 runs. Brevis and Shivam Dubey (39; 322, 4x2, 6x2) who joined at this stage, also removed the worry. He recovered by adding 59 runs in the 6th wicket partnership. After Brevis got out, Dubey stepped up his game. Both Shivam and Dhoni were dismissed in the last over bowled by Akash Madhwal.




Chennai set Rajasthan a target of 188 runs to win, Chennai Super Kings, who are at the bottom of the points table, beat Rajasthan Royals by 188 runs.The match is going on at the Arun Jaitley Stadium here.Rajasthan won the toss and elected to bowl. Chennai Super Kings batted first.Chennai scored 187 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Ayush 43, Braves 42 Shivam Dubey scored 39 runs.Yadhuvir and Akash took 3 wickets each for Rajasthan.This match has no significance in terms of IPL play off. CSK still have one match left. This match is the last of the series for the Royals.
