Irrespective of rain and coldThe fans who gathered at the Chinnaswamy stadium were not able to fulfill their desire to witness the victory of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team. The team was disappointed with its third consecutive defeat at home.

Tim David's impressive half-century (50; 26A, 4x5, 6X3) will only be remembered by RCB fans. Apart from that, Punjab Kings team is dominant in the match.
Kings led by Shreyas Iyer won by 5 wickets.
Punjab won the toss and elected to field in the match which started with a delay of about 2 hours and 15 minutes due to rain. An innings was scheduled to be played in 14 overs. RCB piled up 95 runs for 9 wickets in the stipulated overs in front of Punjab bowlers' attack and sharp play by the fielders.

Chasing the target, Punjab scored 98 runs for 5 wickets in 12.1 overs. Recently, in the match held in Mullanapura, the Punjab team defeated the 'reigning champion' Kolkata Knight Riders by a short target of 111 runs. KKR were restricted to just 95 runs.
Here too RCB controlled the team for the same number of runs. The main reason for that is left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh. In his first spell, Arshadeep took the wickets of Phil Salt and Virat Kohli. Apart from skipper Rajat Patidar (23; 18A) the rest of the batsmen did not put up much resistance. 9 batters never reached double figures.

David shouted

This is the first half-century in the IPL for Australia's six-and-a-half foot tall Ajanubahu David. Batting at number seven for RCB, he also became the second batsman to score more than 50 runs. In 2022, Dinesh Karthik scored an unbeaten 66 runs in the same order.

David added 32 runs with Josh Hazlewood in an unbroken 10th wicket partnership.
Josh exclaimed
Chasing the target, the Punjab team was challenged by the home side's pacers Hazlewood (3 for 14) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2 for 26). Bhuvi struck early in the innings.
